Ik ben op zoek naar … a shared flat in Zürich that is within reasonable bicycle commuting distance from ZHdK / Toni Areal. I will be studying full time, so the apartment would ideally be conducive for studying, i.e., a clean, stable and non-chaotic, household, flatmates are stress-free types. I'll need to be cooking most all of my meals, so a decently equipped kitchen would be great.

Would be really wonderful if there were would be a lot of greenery (garden, parks, trees, plants) in the area surrounding the house. That would make me very happy!

Ik ben … a 38-year-old male currently living in Berlin, Germany, since 2016. I'm originally from Portland, Oregon, USA, and spent 10 years in New York before relocating to Leipzig, Germany, in 2014. I've been working in the book publishing trade since my early 20s, which is what originally brought me to Europe. I speak B2 level German. More recently, I've been working with disabled children, as I am also inspired by social work.

I've been focusing on improving my bike mechanic and cooking skills for the past few years, both of which I really enjoy. Since my years living in Berlin I've amassed quite a collection of vinyl records, and in my free time, I enjoy researching music. I'm also going for morning runs and weekend hikes and I meditate frequently too.

I'm now moving to Zürich to study graphic design and typography at ZHdK for at least the next three years. I've been passionate about these disciplines since I was a teenager, and they originally brought me to the publishing trade.

I would ideally be moving along with some of my own furniture and household items.
